IMI Bhubaneswar set to host FDP on Emotional Intelligence: the armour of good marketers

IMI Bhubaneswar will host the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) ATAL Academy sponsored one-week online Faculty Development Programme on Emotional Intelligence. To be held between 18th and 22nd January 2021, the programme will see the presence of leading lights from industry and academia. They will gain insights on why Emotional Intelligence is the key to the performance of business personnel, as experts highlight its importance on this knowledge-sharing platform.

In traditional business environments, technical skills and analytic abilities were considered crucial for high performing professionals. However, as Industry 4.0 is here, we are functioning in a dynamic environment that demands unique skills. There is compelling evidence, which proves that Emotional Intelligence and not IQ, holds the key. It is certainly responsible for the effective management of interpersonal relationships for business professionals. And that makes them stand out as star performers in their respective organizations. 

This FDP has been designed to help participants Manage Interpersonal Relations through Emotional Intelligence. It will not only make them aware of the power of Emotional Intelligence but take stock of their present levels too. Through interactive activities, participants will get practical tips on building different components of Emotional Intelligence. The programme also offers insights into dealing with negative emotions like anger, managing stress and dealing with conflicts at workplaces.

Understanding the role of Emotional Intelligence in Team Management and in the success of Entrepreneurs will be some of the areas that the FDP will delve into.
